Porch Flooring Project

Installing Porch Flooring is no different than installing solid wood flooring. Our Porch Flooring does not require onsite conditioning before installation and can be installed nailed-down or glue-down. Install the planks randomly with starter planks around 6 feet, 4 feet and 2 feet, or stagger them between 6 feet and 3 feet between rows.

The biggest difference between deck planks and porch flooring is that porch flooring interlocks to each other without gaps between the plank sides. The gaps are deemed unnecessary as there is a roof over the porch which prevents rainwater from gathering on the porch flooring.

dassoXTR Porch Flooring is designed reversible with one reeded side which could be used as stairs steps. The porch flooring profile will work with any of the 5 commonly used solid flooring trim pieces, namely - stair thread, reducer, variable threshold, T-Molding and Quarter Round. We do offer each of the trim pieces as custom made special order.

The color goes throughout the plank thickness, no composite skin. You can sand the flooring 3 to 4 times, just like solid wood flooring. Always remember to follow coating manufacturer application manual to get the best finish results. dassoXTR porch flooring comes from the factory pre-primed only, and will take any preferred coatings you may like. Just remember to test your choice of finishes on a small piece of dassoXTR for compatibility.
