Bamboo Rooftop Tiles: Durable & Eco-Friendly Roofing | dassoXTR

You want your rooftop and pool deck to be safe since many people gather there. Our bamboo rooftop deck tiles are perfect for these specific spaces. Fused Bamboo Deck Plank is one of the few material suitable for rooftop and poolside deck with Class A- Fire rated and W.U.I. compliant. The decks can be built on treated lumber structure or commercial pedestal structure with connector suitable for wooden joist, aluminum joist or directly to deck tiles.

Factory-preoiled

dassoXTR comes in 2 standard pre-oiled colors, Espresso and Cognac.
*Espresso color is the result of taking Classic Unfinished boards, stained with WOCA Walnut penetrating oil.  This leaves the boards rich and dark with a tight band of natural color range desire by most unique audience.
*Cognac color on the other hand, is a result of staining Epic Unfinished boards with a custom blend of WOCA penetrating oil.  We know the two color option may not be within your choice of colors.  Hence, we now stock unfinished materials in both Classic and Epic so you could choose to custom design your own colors.

Unfinished - Your Choice of Color

We know that life is never one size fits all.  That's why we stock unfinished products of both of our popular Fused Bamboo - Classic and Epic.

Classic Unfinished panels in itself is a darker material, hence it would be much harder to stain them to a lighter color.  This however could be achieved by using opac or semi-opac coatings.

Epic Unfinished panels on the other hands are neutral in color, so you would have much success in staining the planks to your choice of custom color.

Bamboo Rooftop Tiles FAQ

Is bamboo suitable for rooftop applications?

Yes, Fused Bamboo Rooftop Tiles are perfect for rooftop applications.  This is because it is Class A Fire rating, WUI Approved and has been fully tested by ICC-ES to be suitable for high-rise building rooftop.  Besides, with dassoXTR, you have 2 options of appearance to choose from, deck tiles or deck boards appearance are available.

How difficult is it to ship bamboo tiles or boards to the rooftop

It might be difficult to transport regular hardwood and composite to the rooftop, but it is easy to ship dassoXTR Fused Bamboo to the rooftop.  The tiles are usually 2x2, so it goes into the lift easily.  Our boards are modular with end-match, so 6ft product is just nicely fitting into cargo lift as well.  You do not need additional cranes to transport bamboo tiles and boards to your rooftop.

How bamboo rooftop installation works?

Fused Bamboo is great as rooftop restaurant or bar on a high-rise building.  You can opt to use wood/aluminum structure or choose to use adjustable pedestal system.  Both systems can easily be installed on the roof surfaces whether it is flat or sloped.  For residential rooftop deck, it is strong and safe to use fused bamboo as rooftop terrace, observation deck and sky deck. 

How do you maintain bamboo rooftop deck?

You can maintain bamboo rooftop deck is like any other deck surface.  Since bamboo deck is consist of natural fibers, you would generally maintain bamboo deck with wood cleaner and refinish it with exterior finishes. A good finishing will last several years depending on your geographic location.
