Sure! The shiplap soffit is similar to cladding except it is narrower and thinner. You can use it anyway you like it. Some use this instead of using rainclad siding and vice-versa except shiplap soffit is not suitable for high wind area. It work great as wainscoting, accent wall, bothroom wall and etc...
