dassoXTR Classic Espresso Fused Bamboo is made of 87% natural bamboo fiber and 13% Phenolic Resin (the same resin used in bowling balls).
dassoXTR Epic Cognac Fused Bamboo is made of 84% natural bamboo fiber and 13% Phenolic Resin (the same resin used in bowling balls), with the addition of 3% CeramiX® nano particles (same basic element in Ceramic bowl - Clay) that crystalize all the nutrients.
Note: Clay is natural, none-toxic element that exist in our natural environment.
We extract all the nutrients (which include sugar and starch) from the bamboo, impregnate it with phenolic resin (the same resin found in bowling balls), then compress it 2:1 to form Fused Bamboo. Because Fused Bamboo does not contain any more nutrients, it will not attract bacteria, fungus, molds or insects; the fiber does not rot under exposed environments.
We crystalize the fibers with CeramiX® nano particle, impregnate it with phenolic resin (the same resin found in bowling balls), then compress it 2:1 to form Fused Bamboo. Because Fused Bamboo is now fully impregnated with CeramiX® nano particle that crystalizes the nutrients from attracting bacteria, fungus, molds or insects, the fiber does not rot under exposed environments.
This process is somewhat similar to petrified or fossilized wood.
United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) reached a decision on May 13, 2019 which denied to all challenges to the '578 Patent held by Dasso.
The PTAB Final Decision only strengthened Dasso's '578 Patent, including the pending claims against an infringer at Delaware Federal Courts. The invalidity challenge to Dasso's '578 Patent was bought on by an infringer in an attempt to legitimatize its actions.
In a stunning rebuke, PTAB judges denied all claims by this infringer challenging the validity and patentability of Dasso's '578 U.S. patent.
