dassoXTR Fused Bamboo RainClad® Shiplap Siding is the great choice for residential or commercial cladding, where it is a renewable resource, with quality which meets all the fire safety requirements, is Cal Fire Tested - WUI Compliance, is Class A Fire Tested, almost maintenance free, ages naturally like wood.
Most often our shiplap siding acts as ornate, accent or center piece of the building but in others it is a great replacement for the tropical siding planks (Ipe, Cumaru, Redwood, Cedar or other Thermos Square stock). Our bamboo siding is a game changer. Why? Because it meets all the technical requirements and highest quality standards of the International Code Council Evaluation Standard (ICC-ES).
Our RainClad® Shiplap Siding outdoor products comes in 2 different colors - Classic Espresso and Epic Cognac. However, the color choices are unlimited where Epic unfinished with its neutral color can be stained to multiple colors of your choice. Fused Bamboo® will take most brands of stains and pigments with coatings ranging from exterior wood oil to multi-colors wood paints. Our siding is Thermally Modified, Class A fire-rated, W.U.I. compliant, dimensionally stable, will not warp or buckle, zero VOC and no leaching.
Dasso creates bamboo materials following international technical requirements using the Moso bamboo species. Moso bamboo plants is one of the few bamboo species that grows as a single culm instead of clumping in together. This allows select cutting which benefits the environment, Moso as a material can be processed to use as interior and exterior building material. There is a long list of bamboo benefits wihich include:
- bamboo is grass - it grows very fast,
- its fiber is stronger than steel,
- it captures more carbon per area due to its growth density, and
- it is great carbon storage.
When it comes to the selection of siding panel width, you have the option of nominal size 1”x8” Shiplap Panel (XXX-SID18-178TG-PP) or 1x6 Shiplap Panel (XXX-SID18-137TG-PP). Our exterior siding panels are 6 feet long with a shiplap profile on the long side and T&G end-match on the end for an endless joint installation. The siding panels differ from bamboo decking boards in their profiles. When installed with the designed fastener, either sheathing or batten, the fastener will allow the planks to overlap on top of the bottom panels for a clean elegant look. Although deck boards can be used for exterior applications, the carefully designed RainClad Siding is superior and has huge benefits over the deck boards as wall panels.

The most popular wider 8” siding panels gives a luxurious appearance with less seams or joints. It also reduces the usage of installation accessories and workload thus cutting down installation cost for your entire project.
Installation is simplified with the designed fasteners and the planks can be installed horizontally or vertically. Use Drip Cap at the base and select appropriate aluminum trim pieces for corners, tops or joins. Our lumber and panels can be routed to your trim pieces as well depending on your choice of looks.

Pre-Oiled Colors
dassoXTR comes in 2 standard pre-oiled colors, Espresso and Cognac.
Espresso color is the result of taking Classic Unfinished boards, stained with WOCA Walnut penetrating oil. This leaves the boards rich and dark with a tight band of natural color range desire by most unique audience.
Cognac color on the other hand, is a result of staining Epic Unfinished boards with a custom blend of WOCA penetrating oil. We know the two color option may not be within your choice of colors. Hence, we now stock unfinished materials in both Classic and Epic so you could choose to custom design your own colors.

We know that life is never one size fits all. That's why we stock unfinished products of both of our popular Fused Bamboo - Classic and Epic.
Classic Unfinished panels in itself is a darker material, hence it would be much harder to stain them to a lighter color. This however could be achieved by using opac or semi-opac coatings.
Epic Unfinished panels on the other hands are neutral in color, so you would have much success in staining the planks to your choice of custom color.
