Decking
Backyard Deck
For a standard backyard deck, install Starter Rail-1902 on the deck joist. Ensure the diamond clips are aligned parallel to one another. Snap the 3-in-1 plank on the clips and your job is done.
Pool Side Deck
For a pool side deck, place GRAD pedestal on the subfloor. Snap on Joist Rail-1802-PR39 on the pedestal. Ensure all the diamond clips are aligned parallel to one another. Snap the 3-in-1 plank on the clips and your job is complete.
Rooftop Deck
For the rooftop deck, first consider how much clearance you have from your roof to your exit door. If your clearance is less than 4 inches, then your only option is to use the Starter Rail-1902 directly on the roof surface. If your rooftop has TPO membrane, then place an additional layer of TPO as cushion under the Starter Rail-1902. You could either let the track float freely on the roof or spot-glue the Starter Rail to the additional cushion TPO. Now, you can snap the 3-in-1 plank on the track just like the backyard deck. On the other hand, if your rooftop clearance exceeds 4 inches, then you could opt to use the pedestal on the rooftop just like how you would install the pool side deck. Likewise, use an additional layer of TPO as cushion under each pedestal. Lastly, snap the 3-in-1 plank on the clips and your project is complete.
Siding
You can install dassoXTR Siding 3-in-1 Panel either vertically or horizontally.
Use the Start-Rail-1902 and fasten it to the structural studs. This could be your sheathings, battens or any type of structural channel. If you are going to have the panels installed vertically, then your Start-Rail should be installed horizontally. The max. span for your Start-Rail is 24" on center for dassoXTR. You obviously could choose to install with a shorter span. A 16" on center span is standard, and a 12" on center is never an issue.
For horizontal siding, install your railing vertically. Likewise, the max. span is 24" on center.
Residential Siding
Residential premises usually prefer thinner walls. Thus Start-Rail is most often chosen as the go-to joist instead of the PR39 railing.
Commercial Siding
Commercial projects can opt for either Start-Rail or the RPR39 Rail depending on the thickness of the wall buffer.
Ceilings and Soffits
Ceiling and Soffit Panel is just like Siding, except it is installed upside down horizontally on the ceiling instead of vertically on the wall. Ceilings usually refer to the interior overhead surface of a space while soffit is a lower section of the ceiling, usually on the exterior and often box-like, that covers a specific area rather than the whole room. The structure on the ceiling can be a hanger rail or structural joist. Attach the Start-Rail-1902 with screws to the ceiling railing structure. Press the panels into the diamond clips to attach the ceiling panels. Repeat the process until the whole space is completed. The max. span for ceiling and soffit is 24" on center.
